Picosecond Laser Tattoo Removal

Starting at $79

Fade the past. Make room for what's next.

Whether you're ready to completely remove an unwanted tattoo or simply fade existing ink to make room for something new, Good Karma's Picosecond Laser Tattoo Removal offers a customized approach designed around your skin, your tattoo, and your goals.

Picosecond laser technology delivers ultra-short pulses of energy that target tattoo pigment, breaking the ink into progressively smaller particles that the body can naturally clear over time.

But no two tattoos—and no two people—are exactly alike.

Before treatment, we evaluate your Fitzpatrick skin type, tattoo size and location, ink color and density, age of the tattoo, previous removal treatments, and desired outcome to develop an individualized treatment plan.

Because sometimes good karma means knowing when it's time to let something go.

Fade it. Clear it. Rewrite the story.

Complimentary Numbing

Let's address the question everyone actually wants answered:

Yes. Tattoo removal can hurt.

That's why complimentary topical numbing is available with every Good Karma laser tattoo removal treatment.

Guests who would like topical numbing should arrive approximately 45–60 minutes before their scheduled laser treatment so the anesthetic has adequate time to take effect.

While you wait, you're welcome to relax in the Good Karma lounge or explore the apothecary.

Numbing can significantly improve comfort, but laser tattoo removal should not be considered pain-free, and individual experiences vary.

Treatment Pricing

Pricing is based primarily on the size and complexity of the tattoo, with consideration given to ink composition and the treatment required.

Tattoo Size Black Ink Color / Multicolor
Tiny — up to 1 sq. in. $79 $99
Small — 1–4 sq. in. $99 $129
Medium — 4–9 sq. in. $149 $179
Large — 9–16 sq. in. $199 $229
XL — 16–25 sq. in. $249 $279
XXL / 25+ sq. in. Consultation Consultation

Final pricing is confirmed during your tattoo assessment.

Sleeves, large-scale pieces, unusually dense tattoos, and tattoos requiring treatment in sections are priced following consultation.

Treatment Packages

Because tattoo removal generally requires multiple sessions:

Package of 3 — Save 10%
Package of 6 — Save 15%

Packages are based on the individual tattoo's established treatment price.

Black Ink vs. Color Ink

Ink color matters.

Different tattoo pigments absorb different wavelengths of laser energy, which means a multicolored tattoo may require a different treatment approach than a tattoo composed primarily of black or dark ink.

Your practitioner will assess the colors present in your tattoo and determine the appropriate approach based on your individual tattoo and skin type.

Some pigments may respond more readily than others, and complete clearance of every pigment cannot be guaranteed.

Your Skin Matters Too

Your Fitzpatrick skin type is an important part of your consultation.

Skin type does not determine what you pay.

It helps determine how your treatment is approached.

Laser parameters must be selected with consideration for both the tattoo pigment and the surrounding skin. Your skin type, tanning history, pigmentation tendencies and previous response to laser treatments are evaluated before treatment.

This allows us to prioritize both results and skin safety throughout your treatment series.

Complete Removal or Cover-Up?

You don't necessarily have to erase the entire tattoo.

Picosecond laser treatments can also be used to strategically fade existing ink before a cover-up, giving your tattoo artist greater flexibility when creating your new piece.

During your consultation, simply tell us your goal:

Complete Removal
or
Fade for a Cover-Up

We'll build your treatment plan accordingly.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

There is no universal number.

Tattoo removal is a process, and the number of treatments required can vary considerably based on factors including:

  • Tattoo size
  • Ink color
  • Ink density and saturation
  • Professional vs. amateur application
  • Tattoo age
  • Tattoo location
  • Depth of pigment
  • Skin type
  • Previous removal treatments
  • Individual response between sessions
  • Whether your goal is fading or maximum possible clearance

For that reason, Good Karma does not promise complete removal within a predetermined number of sessions.

Progress is assessed throughout your treatment series.

Treatment Spacing

Your skin and body need time between laser treatments.

Treatment intervals are determined according to your tattoo, skin response and healing progress. Your next session will be scheduled only after the treatment area has adequately recovered.

Trying to rush the process does not mean faster clearance.

Good tattoo removal requires patience.

What to Expect After Treatment

Temporary responses in the treated area can include:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Warmth or tenderness
  • Temporary whitening or “frosting” immediately following treatment
  • Itching during healing
  • Blistering or crusting in some cases
  • Temporary pigment changes

Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided following treatment.

Avoid picking, scratching or intentionally disrupting the healing skin.

Before Your Appointment

Please let us know about:

  • Prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Photosensitizing medications or products
  • History of abnormal scarring or keloids
  • Recent tanning or significant sun exposure
  • Recent spray tan or self-tanner on the treatment area
  • Previous tattoo removal treatments
  • Skin conditions affecting the treatment area
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Treatment may need to be postponed or may not be appropriate for clients with:

  • Active infection in the treatment area
  • Open wounds or compromised skin
  • Active sunburn
  • Recent significant tanning
  • Certain photosensitizing medications
  • Certain active skin conditions
  • History or risk factors requiring additional medical evaluation
  • Other conditions that may affect safe laser treatment or healing
